Meet Jill
Jill's love for Mahjong began more than seven years ago, learning alongside a group of friends. As an educator in District 196, teaching came naturally so sharing her passion for the game with others was the next step. It's the social side of Mahjong that drives her: bringing this game of skill, strategy, and a little luck to you.
Meet Jodie
Jodie started playing Mahjong in 2025 and fell in love fast. One set of tiles turned into two, then three — soon there were mats, racks, and a dining room transformed into "The Mahjong Room." She began teaching friends, then friends of friends, and that passion for the game, the teaching, and the art of a beautifully set table eventually led her to co-found South of the River Mahjong with her own Mahjong teacher and now friend, Jill.
